credentials on Usenet are meaningless. Furthermore, as a recipient of
death threats and having somewhat unique credentials myself, someone
with enough motive can easily find me.

Net foreign aid importers is ONE quick way of finding out
how much of a drain the people are to the world.

How so?
All it will tell you is how much aid some countries are receiving.
It will tell you nothing about what %age of people in the world are
producing or consuming resources, which ISTM is more relevant.

Anyway, 90% may be OTT but have you considered what %age of the
British population are producers or consumers of resources? That's
what I'm getting at.

It is entirely acceptable to be a consumer of resources. What is not
acceptable is if the person's output is less than their input.

My comment intended to mean that there are many people who consume
more than they produce ...many many people. Some for good reason but
you seem to have missed this.

You could even expand the picture to a nation's 'wealth' if you wanted
to get even closer to the problem in economic terms.

handouts, land, like most other things, is _earned_. One isn't entitled

No, the issue is of ownership.

Ownership of land on the international arena is based on the capacity
to defend it.

And of course international law and boring things like the UN Charter.

But since you have this strange view that *land* is earned, do tell
exactly how the Israelis "earned" that large sand pit in the M/E.

You're once again looking at the past. Look at the _present_ and the
_future_. It is the only things we can change.

The future can only be resolved by looking back at history and dealing
with its injustices. RSA comes to mind after apartheid.

The Israelis "earned" the land because their military can hold it.

Land does not come like a present, addressed to someone. Land and
resources are fought for. In fact this is the optimal way of
distributing resources.

Palestine was by any reasonable definition land which belonged to
those who lived on it for centuries, absent anybody else coming along
and proving ownership. Nobody has ever done that.

So why should I care? Also, don't forget that Israel-Palestine are
essentially in a low intensity war. Ever hear the saying: All's fair in
love & war?
Who started it?

Retrospective finger pointing. Who started the war isn't as important
as who deserves to win it. Some other educated chaps here may decide to
pity you and enlighten you with some history though.

My knowledge of how it started is as good as any other, especially
those with an agenda.

superior ones, for a better humanity.

Fine words. How and who decides which "systems" are inferior and
superior? Is this where your law of the jungle comes in?

Is the indian "system" existant in Amazonia less superior than cattle
ranching for personal profit?

As to who deserves to win it, that's a subjective view often tainted
by prejudice.

Rubbish. If anything, it is the view *least* tainted by prejudice, as
it depends entirely on merit and capability. Historical views such as
yours are the *most* tainted by prejudice, because everyone has their
own version/interpretation of past events.
