Dog or cat no, for sentimental reasons as I have them as pets.

Wimp! I have three pet wabbits (rabbits) and would have no
problem eating them if I HAD to.

I've eaten plenty of rabbits (v. nice in paella) despite having
them as pets as a kid, fluffytail, bunnytail, thumper, shagger,
etc etc.

No sentiment there now I'm afraid.

It's different with cats and dogs, though I've met one or two
irritating dachsunds I'd have gladly polished off on a slice of
toast.

I wonder if they'd taste like sausage meat...
