A small sidebar on the web page posted by Crowley the other day
(subject: "It's the end of the world as we know it") about the
forthcoming global crises attracted my attention...

Read it here:
http://www.newropeans-magazine.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3463&Itemid=85

"Thank you to you, our readers!
"On February 22nd, Newropeans-Magazine broke a new traffic record.
It was classified in 51.899th position among the first 5 millions
websites ranked worldwide by Alexa.com, subsidiary of Amazon.com.
Newropeans-Magazine got about 1 million pages viewed on that single
day. These results were obtained despite the traffic jam which made
the site very difficult to access for half a day."

Phew! 1,000,000 page hits in roughly a single half-day.

Compare that to abelard's website where his latest claim is for:
"1,552,396 document calls in year past" which equates to about
2,000 hits per half-day.

I wonder what the BBC hit level is.....

what a naive person you are buzzy....
the site above is rated by alexa at around 500,000th
mine is rated around 250,000th

further, people who talk of 'hits' are either naive...or think you are
(in you case a reasonable judgement)
you can usually divide 'hits' by at *least* 10 to get real page rates
(one day i'll tell you how to convert it!)

next...it is not unusual for a small site to get a rush once a major
site links to it....
i have peaked at 16000 in a day (but not through a link but by
the value of a news story i did)

next buzzy...
i am not seeking idiots like you....or conspiracy socialist idiots like
you who will doubtless lap up the tripe on the link you quoted above..

as usual it is back to your desk mister world computer expert....

please keep struggling...
you are most amusing to watch...though one must admit it is a bit like
shooting a slug in a barrel.....

ps...the bbc is presently rated 21st on planet....
