This statement is at odds with the dominant interpretation of
current physical theory, so I don't see why I should take it seriously
-- certainly a claim to the effect that randomness is somehow excluded
by physics is sheer nonsense.

Unfortunately, as I said, I don't have the time to expand on this
quite uncontroversial scientific point -- nor do I think that much
progress can be made in the debate without an agreement on this basic
point.
