Aren't we seeing people at the bottom of an hierarchy using their power
to make their generally powerless lives seem a little more under their
control?
I'd imagine prison warders too would be 'little hitlers' because their
job is boring, predictable and they're at the bottom of an hierarchy.
But in that environment they aren'r at the bootom of the hierachy - big fish
in little ponds and all that !
Maybe the problem is these people don't get chance to be leaders in normal
life so when they do get the opportunity to exhert some control they
over-step the mark (?)
