Not controversial????? where have you been in the last decade? The
whole
thing about the short serotonin allele and depression *risk* after
traumatic life events was that it was NEITHER nature or nurture,
NEITHER
genes or environment. It was both. That is why that study was not
mentioned in the article, because it is part of a body of literature
that has made it plain that the old dichtomies were wrong, and the
answer is in the interactions. Because it related to the holy grail of
the human brain it was if anything the killer paper.

It is this that makes its absence from the article in question so
revealing, in association with the words themselves.
