Ah but I'm posting provocative stuff that should stand out a little. For one
thing it isn't another lengthy article which leaves people a chance to
respond.
It is true however the the vast majority of repsonses is from the same two
people.

I remember many of the people that used to post here. Most of those that
used to post have stopped. Few new people come in and start posting. What
can they base their posts on ? Articles from elsewhere ?

> What makes you both such a joiner in our company and such a nihilist?

I'm not quite sure what you're gettign at. (?)

I think Lance could write his own thoughts and views and engage us in
conversation instead of just cutting and pasting what others have said.
It would be good if the newsgroup could return to a place of healthy
discussion and debate that it once was. I don't think people dropping in
here for a quick look are likely to stay long.

No I am sad that it is turning into an empty newsgroup and am amazed that
no-one bothers that has happened.

> Why not present your plan for an improved and re-invigorated group?
I don't think it stands much chance of being re-invigorated. It's been
smothered.

Oh they do.

> Are you posting an epitaph?
I may well be. I have unsubscribed a few times and moved over to the athiest
newsgroup which seems more concerned about theist trolls than anything else.

I actually came across Jim very recently and it was a joy to hear from him.
I am pleased to have 'met him' via this newsgroup. I don't see much chance
of encountering similar friends with the newsgroup in it's present state.

> We are in your hands, Steve.
No you aren't. You are in the hands of those that post regularly. It is up
to them how this newsgroup develops. If they don't want to talk about
humanism then that's it. There isn't any place for humanists to go.
