Oh, come on now - it is much, much more than that.

We know that the myth of creation/Adam and Eve is just that - a myth.

Evolution has been so well supported with evidence from almost every
discipline of science, and then confirmed beyond any doubt by genetics.

The two stories are mutually exclusive - one is supported by the facts
(an overwhelming amount of interlocking evidence) and the other is
supported by - nothing, no evidence whatsoever.

There is little room for personal opinion. Richard has nothing with
which to support his position other than blind faith.

I should have been more clear. It's the theist claim to "authority" that
collapses to a matter of personal opinion as they seem unable to produce a
method to test whether any given statement can be equated to the "word of
god" other then quoting some out of context sentence from a particular
translation of the bible.

The bible may be a poor to useful guide to parts of the history of the
middle east and is certainly a politically edited collection of myths and
tribal laws, but as proof of the existance of god it fails on all counts.
