Perhaps you'd be good enough to explain to us what those are, the
meaning of them; and why they boggle your mind? Of course we know that
you can't because you don't have a clue what any of them mean, neither
can you comprehend that, from the few that you've told me they all
appear to be variable quantities. - Not that you're even aware of their
meaning. The reason that they boggle your mind is that you're in awe of
what you don't understand.

Well, if one takes the theistic view that the universe has an explicit
purpose, and that purpose is to support life *exactly* like ours then
there are a near infinite number of variables which must be exactly right
in order to achieve the purpose and a designer becomes inevitable.

Without that initial assumption of purpose the argument falls apart and
life becomes merely a happy coincidence (from our point of view, anyway).

It makes about as much sense as the ants in my garden asking "How come our
ants nest is sited here? We have earth that is easy to dig, we are close
to a river for moisture but far enough away not to flood, we have
plentiful supply of leaves, we have warmth from the adjacent house and
security from predators. It must be pre-destined by god, otherwise we
couldn't exist".

simply, and euphemistically, it's the egg before the chicken argument..
We look at how it *IS* not *why* it is, then decide that god came
first......!
Ignoring evolution is a life encompassing pastime. Whatever exists, exists,
we are here as a result of the infintessimal possibilites and chances that
billions of years of evolution has arrived at. How could it happen, they
say. Who knows, it just did. And having happened it leaves evidence of
why it happened. The evidence is screaming out but the creationists are
completely deaf...
