I received an illegal automated phone message about my PPI. After the message finished, it waited for me to respond to its request for me to press <1>, which presumably would have initiated a call to a premium rate number.
69 minutes later I remembered I hadn't ended the call. The phone was still silent, apart from some very quiet background noise, as though it were still waiting for me to press <1>.
I really hope I've just cost the spammers/scammers a 69 minute phone call.
