You've neglected the reality of the situation - because you know nothing
about it. And yet you chose to make your judgement!

Yep, just like a typical psycho-professional... He knows *** about the
situation, but pronounces judgement upon it anyway.

What's happened is that I've decided to give up trying to be nice. I've
decided that what I need for me right here right now is to let rip, to
let the snarling hungry tiger out of its cage for a bit of sport.

I have done that.

You're analysis is missing the point in a way that's comically wide of
the mark.

I have *chosen* to rave on in a sloppy fashion. In between making my
ranting posts over the last few days, I've been writing very carefully
constructed and very carefully measured prose. You'd better believe
that.

Oh yes, and I've been doing a lot of work over the last month or so to
support a friend who's in the loony bin right now (and has been on and
off for several weeks). Yesterday, I was getting her in touch with a
solicitor because the hospital is mistreating her that badly[1].

And in between all that I've been letting rip in an uncontrolled fashion
- a fashion designed to give the *impression* of what you concluded is
`reality'. And maybe it `is' `reality' - but it's one that I switch on
and off under conscious control.

But I don't suppose someone with your training in psychotherapy is
capable of accepting that that's possible...

So, yeah,
leave him alone. I've been on the receiving end of his vitriol before, and
to my shame, fought back. Ok, he's a knob, but an ill one. There is no
excuse for his behaviour, there might just be a reason. Its best to ignore
him.

Simon's arrogant ignorant judgements on me are a perfect example of
what's wrong with posters on this newsgroup: so many of them look at
inadequate data, draw utterly invalid conclusions, add a bunch of stock
ignorant assumptions, and create insane models of other posters - most
especially me.

Simon is, because of his training in psychotherapy, particularly bad for
that sort of arrogant ignorant idiocy.

I'd be amazed at his behaviour if I'd not met that sort of person in
real life - the pride and arrogance of these people!

Quite astonishing - I think it'd be very interesting to get a proper
psychological assessment of the `type' to see if we can't do something
about 'em. Because it's arrogant ignorant judgements such as the above
that are responsible for denying to me (and others) the treatment we
need from the NHS, responsible for a great deal of vile abuse.

[1] Tip: the Sutton in Ashfield loony bin is pretty good. I've heard
nothing but bad reports of psychiatric `care' in Manchester - and that
includes from the nurse I once lived with who was doing a medical degree
so he could become a psychiatrist and sort out the *** he'd seen
patients suffering on the psychiatric wards in Manchester.
