Here comes the OT whine

I've just got back from seeing a lovely Neuro then the in laws and
I'm more than a little peed off to say the least!

The Neuro said that he was going to refer me for a "brain scan" to
shut me up (that's me saying that) and to make 100% sure that I don't
have MS but that he was 99% sure I didn't have it! Thing is though,
the more I read about MS the more it sounds like me! OK, I don't
have *all* the symptoms but then I'm not perfect! I've got more
symptoms of MS than I have for Korsikov Syndrome which I was
diagnosed with when I came out of hospital 5 years ago... pretty much
the only symptoms I've got of Korsikov Syndrome is the vitamin
deficiency but even that doesn't apply any more 'cos I take a
multivitamin every evening!

I'm a stubborn lil madam when I want to be though so he's not going
to get rid of me that easily!


I saw an occupational psychologist who said it was possible I may have
Asperger's Syndrome, and my GP didnt seem that interested, I was
expecting him to refer me to get a proper diagnosis but he didnt until
I asked a month later. I don't know what it is about GPs but in my
experience they seem very resistant to doing anything other than
prescribing ADs to me. To be honest I find it fucking annoying and
also quite depressing.


Too right! Maybe you need to be more stubborn with your GP? Insist that
s/he refers you for proper testing and keep phoning and writing until you
get the referral?
