Do your stories make it into print?

The current one is my first serious attempt at getting published,
I wrote the others as a teenager as a creative escape from the
world! lol

A suggestion: if it doesn't work, just keep writing. Write and
read, read and write. Keep at it, keep practicing, keep trying to
learn the craft, learn how to do better, practice, practice,
practice.

Too right! Yesterday was spent editing it, hopefully I'll write a bit
more today if the mood strikes me! I learnt yesterday that my
writing is suitable for pre-teens not 9-11 as I originally thought!

But 9-11 /is/ pre-teen.

I think the pre-teen the test thing I took meant was 11-12 as preteen?

Pre-teen is birth-12 years old. Talking about something being suitable
for 11-12 year olds is nonsense - the variation in ability between
children is far too great to be able to use such a narrow range with any
validity.

When I was eight years old, I was reading stuff meant for 12+ year old
kids. I think I read Lord of the Rings when I was about 10. Mostly
with my head under the duvet, reading by the light of a 9V bulb held
against a big 9V battery 'cos that was a better reading light than a
torch.

[snip]

Maybe write another letter saying sorry for your part in the hostility
and that all you want is the same NHS care as everyone else?

I've tried that, and my wife has tried that. We get ignored and told
that I've got to eat *** and that I cannot have access to the services
I need and that's that because the management at the PCT has decided and
management's decision is final and irrevocable and not subject to
discussion.

One might think that it would have been more appropriate to have had a
discussion between me and a suitable mental health specialist, but not,
this is a purely management decision, taken to `protect our staff'.
Against what? Me running away screaming in terror? 'cos that's the
only `threat' I pose.

So tomorrow morning, the CEO of my PCT will be reading a letter with
this as an opening:

What makes you think the CEO will read it, it will be dealt with by
someone who normally deals with the shitforbrains, I doubt the CEO will
even be aware that they have had another letter from an abusive loon.

"It is perfectly clear that your main aim with regard to me is to punish
me for being ill and then to bully me into submission so that I comply
with your will---or destroy me utterly if I refuse to kow-tow.

Your behaviour is sadistic cruelty and I loathe you and fear you."

and and ending like this:

"Do not reply to me in person. That would cause me to cry and scream in
despair and panic. Making someone suffer like that is abuse: you have
frequently abused me like that and I am sick of it. You must not write
to me in person; ditto Phil Davies, Glen Coleman, Frances Street, or any
other management type: they all have the same effect on me. I do not
wish to suffer more abuse by their or your sadistic hand. You must
promptly arrange a reply from a suitable specialist. I said `promptly'.
"
That should do the trick, I bet they just can't wait to jump through
your hoops, I am sure they will cancel everything in their calendar to
accommodate your every wish, because you are so eloquent.

I ain't kidding when I talk about screaming and crying in despair and
panic, nor I am kidding when I say I'm sick of it.

So are we, just stop being a drama queen.

Rowland.
