Progress on the dentist front.

Oh cool!

<rolls eyes> But *today*, the powers that be have decided that my
dentist must first write a letter to me before telephoning, just to
slow things down a bit.

That's terrible!

Normal behaviour from my PCT. However, I delivered a new letter this
morning, handed over by me to the receptionist in the department
wherein
works the person I was writing to.

Can you take it to your local MP or anything like that if they don't help
you?

The letter ends like this:

"Remember: further delays will cause me to write further complaints.
Further changes taken without consulting me or my nominated
representative (my wife Dr XXX) will also cause me to write further
complaints.

I am in pain. You are denying me relief from that pain. The ball is
in
your court: do your job properly. Post your reply to me today!"

Sounds fair enough to me!

[snip]

I've put the wind up the dentristry people something awful.

They should have treated you better!

Of course, but this is the modern NHS: they won't. THe idea of
providing a public health service is no longer important to NHS staff.
It's all about meeting government targets and nothing to do with
patient
care any more. Patients are just a pain to be shouted at when the
staff
screw up.

It shouldn't be like that though! :o(
