It's a shame, but there are plans afoot to come up with a replacement
supersonic passenger aeroplane. If they get one built, it'll carry an
awful lot more people than Concorde and travel further on one tank of
go-juice - across the Pacific, one assumes, since the last time I
checked, the Japs were on board with the scheme.

Still, it won't be as sexy and nice as Concorde, whatever they come up
with.

before he dies, none of this messing about flying along in the
atmosphere with wings and all that, why be so inefficient when you only
really need the wings for landing, eh? Up and out of the atmosphere,
that's the ticket.)


I'd prefer teleportation - beam me up Scotty. I read the Japanese are investing in research to build a ribbon into space. Cool stuff!
