It's the point of a newsgroup like this.

But: there's so much junk from the news server that you use that I kill
all posts from it. I saw this post of yours purely by chance (I've got
a clever newsreader that allows me to see what posts have been clobbered

Yes, but that's what depression does to people. I have no emotional
`belief' that there's any way out of my current position, which has been
getting worse for many years. But I do have unquenchable reserves of
bloodymindedness, and that's what I'm using to try to make progress
towards getting out of the hellish situation I'm in.

Would something similar work for you, do you think?

(regarding the whole eating and exercising lark - lay off the chocolate
and junk food, that's bad for the head. Decent quality food served up
as at least approximations to meals is best. Fresh air and exercise and
sunlight in any amount are good things too.)

I've lost all my confidence and while I'd like
to go out, it makes me feel anxious so I just stay in on my own. But
sometimes I'd like some company, even to have a laugh at the contestants on
the X-factor. (Yeah I know I'm sad watching that, but really, it's the
least of my problems!).

<grin> Chuck the telly out the window and turn on the radio. At least
if it's annoying, you don't have to see annoying faces grinning at you.

I don't know really what I'm posting for, to have some human contact, I
guess.
