Six more days until we become a black hole in space. :)
Maybe we always have been.
Just where exactly *IS* our universe kept?
Why not inside a black hole?
Rowland.
MIB: In the final scene of the film, the camera pulls back into the sky
through space past our solar system, past millions of stars, ultimately
revealing that our galaxy is contained within a circular container
resembling a marble. The container is then picked up by an alien hand
which throws it, hitting another 'marble' which also contains a galaxy.
Universe, actually.
Both marbles are then picked up by the hand and placed into a bag full
of galaxy-containing marbles.
Yes, that's a variant of a very ancient speculation about `where we
are'. It's a staple of a certain kind of old-fashioned science fiction
thinking.
Pretty much everything in that film is old hat and derivative - which
isn't to say it's not hugely enjoyable, 'cos it is.
Rowland.
