Isn't it strange how stuff turns up when you're not looking
for
it
anymore?
I've been trying to sort things out for when I go into
hospital
to
have the
baby, and today I thought I'd pack the baby's bags as his
needs
shouldn't
change a lot between now and then, and it gives me a chance to
see if
there's anything else I need.

Some weeks ago, I was sorting through my daughter's old baby
clothes
to see
how much neutral stuff I had. We were really sad as we thought
we'd
lost one
of our fave babygros. It was one of a set of two, and we could
only
find
one. Also, I guessed I'd given away a load of other bits that
I
couldn't
see.

I just got the bag out of the cupboard that I intended to pack
today,
and it
was filled with all the bits I've been looking for!! I love
it
when
that
happens. You kind of give stuff up as lost for good, then you
find it
all
again! As someone with a crappy memory when it comes to where
stuff
is, it
always cheers me up!

I'm one of those pack-rats that saves everything 'just in case'.
I've
got a method (of sorts) for keeping it all organized, but I am
frequently unable to find things I know that I'd saved.

But it's mostly all gone now - Diane threw much of it in the
trash
when
she moved to her new place; I couldn't be there to stop her.

Most of it was junk, but some of it was memories. I'd saved
about
two
dozen baseball T-shirts from all of Paul and Sarah's sports
teams.
I
devoted a large chunk of my life to their teams, and even helped
coach a
few of them. The shirts were different than pictures and
trophies
- they
were actual relics of those times - tactile reminders of their
sports
years. I'm sorry to have lost them.

I tend to find my keys in the fridge or mobile in the
microwave.......*wibble*

Finding stuff went wrong. I bought a maternity coat last week. At
60, it
was a big purchase. I lost it today :((((((

Approximately half of all pregnant women report increases in
forgetfulness during the latter part of pregnancy and in the
postpartum
period.

In a 1998 study published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and
Gynecology, Keenan and associates monitored the memory and anxiety or
depression level of a group of women throughout pregnancy and in the
postpartum period. A similar group of nonpregnant women were likewise
monitored for comparison. While the length of material influenced the
amount recalled for both groups, pregnant women in the third
trimester
showed a significant decline in memory. No such decline was noted for
nonpregnant women. While pregnant women reported greater sleep
disturbance, increased levels of depression and anxiety, this study
found no link between these symptoms and decline in memory.

Someone once told me that the psychological change can take upto 5
years
to
resolve. Given as my daughter is only 2, and I'm pregnant again, I'm
beginning to wonder how messed up I can get! lol.

At least this time, my spacial awareness is a little better, I was a
total clutz when I was pregnant before.

I think I left my coat in the supermarket trolly, but it's not shown up
yet.
I'm going to go back again later on.

Hehehe, proof of how ditzy I am! Hubby just came home, and said he'd
been
back to the store, and they'd not had it in. I was really sad. Then as I
turned round, it'd been on the sofa all the time!!!

Woo!!

ROFLMAO.. Now that made me giggle...:-)

Hehe, made my hubby laugh too!
