it's 11:30 in the morning here and i'm still in my pj's.
Manky means :- boggin', clatty, pure mingin', hummin', boufin', rank.
the only one of those words i understood was "rank."
It's okay - he's speaking Scottish, and even the Scots have trouble
understanding each other when they do that.
we use that word "rank" here in the states in the same sense that lachie was
using it me thinks. but the rest of it....no clue. :)
(it's dialect stuff, and dialects varations are huge - variations
depending on where you are.
yeah, i like the dialect stuff. my 20 yr old daughter's boyfriend is from
russia, and even though he knows english extremely well, there are alot of
things we say that are simply colooquialisms, and it's funny to watch the
expression on his face as he tries to figure out what we mean.
i've showered now, so i'm no longer clatty. at least, i sure hope i'm
not!
whatever that means.
Something uncivilised from north of the border, that's all you need to
know. ;-)
well good, now i know i don't smell "uncivilised." :D
