How do I get Steve to make another appointment with my GP
though?  I keep asking him to but all he ever says is "I'll do
it later" or "I'll do it tomorrow" but he's been saying that
for literally weeks and hasn't done it yet!

Is there nobody else who could make the appointment for you?

Nope, only me or Steve and I don't know what the best time for
Steve is (
I
can't go on my own 'cos I need someone to lean on) which leaves
Steve!
 :o(

It sucks that Steve is not giving you the support you need.  Have
you tried talking to him about how much the situation is bothering
you, and how badly you want to get something sorted out?  Maybe he
doesn't realize how frustrated you are feeling right now, nor how
badly he is letting you down on this one.

He's usually really good to me so I'm wondering why he keeps saying
he'll call later/tomorrow which never comes!

If he doesn't realize how much it is bugging you, it could easily slip
his mind. There are lots of things i keep meaning to do, but keep
forgetting to do them : )

I don't let it slip his mind! lol As soon as I remember I ask Steve!
lol

Either way, it's a horrible feeling to be dependent upon someone
else who just leaves you twisting in the wind.

Steve is a wonderful husband so I don't want him to think I'm nagging
him y'know?

So what you're saying is that you want to nag him into doing it,
without him thinking you are nagging him into doing it, when in fact
that's exactly what you are doing? Women! ; )

Got it in one! lol

Maybe you could write down a reminder on a notepad, and then leave it
somewhere prominent, so that it is always there under his nose, maybe
write more than one - it'll save you having to constantly get on at
him, and it should produce results.

Oooh! Good idea!

Whereabouts in the country are you?  Maybe one of us could make the
call for you, and either that person or someone else could go with
you on the day.  See, there are people here who complain about how
inadequate it is to give out (((((hugs))))) but when there's
someone needing practical assistance, these same people keep their
heads down.  It makes me sick.  But that's beside the point, i
suppose.

I'm in Gloucestershire...

Too far for me to travel on a casual visit i'm afraid : (

No problemo!

But i hope to be going down to commemorate Sand's birthday later this
year. I miss her a lot : (

Talk to me about her if you want to?

I'm reluctant to give out my exact location
because of my father and also because of what Brian Sunderland did to
me publicly a few years ago on here  :o(

He sounds like a real piece of work : (

Too right!

But 'gloucestershire' is enough information to be going on with. If
there's anyone in that area who feels inclined to help you out with
this, you can work out the more precise details between just the two
of you in private.

Indeed!
