Reading this thread - interesting to me since my ex has BPD & I'm
hoping he can improve as much as possible, since he has contact with
the children & it's still sometimes distressing for them. I always
thought a characteristic of BPD was an addiction of some kind & my ex
was an alcoholic, I think maybe still is from what the children say
about some of the phone conversations they have with him.
Why should I care? He's a 'sick' human being & will always be the
father of my children, so I certainly hope there is something that can
be done for him.

Not falling for that one - but I do think I facilitated his behaviour.
Just as there are alcoholics, there are partners who facilitate them.

Why would I dump the Yank? he's a lovely man & we're all due to go out
there at the end of term, to stay for some time & see how things go.

My mistake, I thought it was your modus operandi, I thought you pulled a
yank, got a 3 month holiday out of them in sunny California, run up
debts on their credit card and then abandoned them and moved onto the
next one. And nothing wrong with that, I have this image of you as an
alluring man-eater leaving a trail of broken hearts across the states.

Lol that's a great image but I'd never accept money from anyone - I'm
a self-made woman & don't have to :)

totally unaware I post as PL in usenet (Her only online activity being
facebook) so I could only have mentioned her to you briefly in a
conversation! Have you kept a log of every single word I've said???

Of course, my dossier on *you* is easily twice as thick as the ones on
the other trolls. Don't worry, I've told *them* you're probably
harmless.
I only remember her name because I find it a very pretty name, you

Well the Ca man does still write occasionally, wanted to see me this
summer but I told him I was already 'booked' lol - what a mad mad
world, when I was young I was too shy to talk to men - if we'd had the
internet then - who knows....

Of course, how could I know whether I should bother getting out of bed
each morning. Non-believers may scoff, but I have a real gift for it,
