so who does know about animals?

I might not know about the best night-club in London (or the best eating
place), but I can tell the difference between a stoat and a weasel.
Lots of city guys would find it difficult to differentiate between a
hare and a rabbit. (unless they googled)
This is to be expected.
But I seem to like nature and animals, and I take great delight in
studying them.
FWIW and if anybody is interested, my barn-swallows seem to have
returned. (i think they are the same guys) They are using the same nest, and
have done a bit of reparation. I wonder if this will give them a head start
with their young this year.
Another bird seemed to check it out a couple of days earlier, but it was
a bigger bird than the barn swallows, but evidently, it was not to it's
satisfaction.
I could not identify this bird, but it seemed about half the size of a
wood-pigeon but just as fat, with the same colouring, but with different
markings. Its bill was also different to a wood pigeons. Any help here would
be appreciated.
So my barn-swallows are back, and they will *** with abandon on my back
door. But that is a small price to pay for the pure joy of watching life in
all its glory.
I don't know why I started this post, But life is wonderful, even if we
have a hard time thinking so. Sometimes.
