Er, excuse me. There's nothing brave about running away from all your problems /and/ abandoning your children.

He blames his wife for everything but there are two sides to every story, and I wonder how much of it is actually down to him. After all, what kind of guy thinks about shooting his wife?

The OP reminds me of Nacho in the movie 'Nacho Libre': "So I'm going out into the Wilderness. Probably, to die." No doubt he will still be visible from the village.
