Thanks Rowland, I've stabilised now, & am truly over whatever it was,
as you say infatuation.
Words are just arbitrary labels, and when they refer to states of mind,
emotions, and things that can't be properly identified, they're always a
bit vague.
You were spot on about the perceived 'need' I had, took some time last
night, when I couldn't sleep, to try to logically go over exactly
*what* I was feeling/thinking & why.
You're the only one who can do that.
I feel tons better for the reflection, not only am I really feeling
positive about everything, I also feel I've 'grown' a bit more (though
doubtless still have lots more to do)
That can't be a bad thing.
Not only am I content with having experienced the relationship, I'm
very happy that it ended, it really was in my best interests but I
don't tend to see what's in my best interests, leaving it all too
often to chance.
Hmm. You can't be sure what's in your best interest. Not that I've got
a clue.
BTW thank you so much for the somewhat surprising compliment :o)
<heh> It wasn't put in there gratuitously: the point is that you are
attractive on-line, so you'll attract men looking for whatever each man
happens to be looking for in a woman, sort of thing. You don't exude
any sort of vulnerable aura (more `receptive', which isn't the same as
`available' if you see what I mean; note my words above about words),
mind, so I can't see you particularly attracting the scumbags (not
particularly, anyway), and you come across as intelligent so that'll put
off most of the complete morons - but still... Bear it in mind. (the
thing about this on-line lark is that you could change the way you write
if you find `being an attractive woman' like that to be a problem - it's
not like real life, where if you happen to look stunning, you're
probably stuck with it unless you take extreme measures with personal
presentation).
Oh dear lord. Does that make sense?
Rowland.
