The dog's old. Therefor the dog's skinny. But drunk guys, especially ones trying to impress their equally drunk girlfriends seem intent on questioning my animal husbandry abilities. A guy tonight actually physically tried to take the dog off me because I was "obviously not feeding him". I was about to punch the drunken prick right in the jaw, but he was so drunk he fell over anyway, saving me the trouble. I picked up the dog saying "everyone's a fucking critic these days" and carried him home.
Another drunk guy earlier on was a lot nicer and asked how old the dog was. When I told him, he put his arm around my shoulder and says "I think the poor old fella's had enough, you're going to miss him, but I think he needs to go to the vets". Why can't people be nice like that instead of flinging accusations about with no evidence.
