However you do have an admitted bias against Muslims, and furthermore
that bias is in an activity that has no connection with religion, so
it
can reasonably be deemed that you are bigotted against Muslims. So
there
you have it - You're a Bigot!
Strange that this poster uses the same wrong meaning of 'bigot' as two
regular posters.
Spot the sock puppet?
Evil Nigel
"A bigot is a prejudiced person who is intolerant of opinions,
lifestyles,
or identities differing from his or her own."
Very good, you now have a dictionary!
A bigot would have written something like "Moslems shouldn't be allowed
to play in the cricket World Cup" or "Everyone should cheer India
because Pakistan is Moslem". Merely expressing a personal preference or
holding an opinion is not bigotry, the key aspect is the intolerance.
Incidentally, racism has two meanings, one of which is innocuous and
pertains to the awareness of differences between races. A large poster
on a billboard near where I live lists indicators for diabetes and urges
those at risk to get tested. One of the criteria is based on racial
origins. The poster, sponsored by the government, is therefore racist,
but not in the unwelcome sense.
I see you're using your own dictionary again, Mr Nigel Troll. Racism
is *ALWAYS* unwelcome.
This is the definition from the Chambers English Dictionary.
racism noun 1 hatred, rivalry or bad feeling between races. 2 belief
in the inherent superiority of a particular race or races over others,
usually with the implication of a right to be dominant. 3
discriminatory treatment based on such a belief.
Now, could you please enlighten me as to where your completely
fictitious definition fits in there? What you are describing has
nothing whatsoever to do with racism any more than someone who stated
"I hate vegetables" could be considered 'vegetableist'.
The govt, in the scenario you describe, was *NOT* being racist in any
way, shape or form.
Now why don't you start using words properly - or refrain from using
them at all until you understand what they mean.
Sarah
did i mention that you are a mean spirited hateful bitch?
