Big Brother!!!

One of our OAP neighbours collapsed at home yesterday. His wife
came round to get help. I went over and made him comfortable. I left his wife reassuring him and went back over to our home to dial '999' to get an ambulance. My intention was not to alarm her at the
gravity of his condition. I was immediately connected to the emergency services operater who asked me the address of the
emegency. I told her, "17 The Avenue" and she said, "You are
phoning from 2 The Avenue, is that correct? Are you? (and mentioned
my name)" The conversation went on but, after I had put the telephone down, I thought I have number barring but obviously it does not work
when it comes to the vemergency services. The fact that she had my
surname as the telephone subscriber so quickly really upstaged me.
Scary or what?
