Try some of the comparison sites, but make sure they're comparing like-for-like. There are a lot of low priced Admiral 'badged' brands but they tend to be cheap-and-cheerful (no courtesy car, for example).

Also look at some of the supermarkets - they sometimes offer decent discounts for new customers joining over the internet.

If you're over 50, try SAGA, Age Concern, Help The Aged etc. A friend of mine just turned 50 found SAGA were the cheapest.

Thanks Nigel, Elephant turned out to be the cheapest in the end. Still expensive though when your on a low income!
