That's great.Good to see you in such a cheerful mood.
"mental illness" does not describe me today
i hope this continues!
thanks to everyone
That is wonderful news Kez, hope things continue on the up & up for
you :)

I do feel much calmer and I think that "it" might be over for now but
"it" could always start up again
as for voices I am stuck with them, but as someone on another ng pointed
out, they're not really voices...

Kez, just as a matter of interest how do you distinguish between 'voices'
and so called 'intrusive thoughts' like hearing your own thoughts quite
distinctly in your head?

I have had times often when stressed/tired when i have been thinking for
example about paying a bill the next day and something unconnected like
'jam would be nice' pops into my brain from left field.

Lying in bed can be the worst for one liners flashing through my brain
at random intervals. It's different than the usual 'internal dialogue as
you think' thingamijig ie much more spontaneous and erratically diverse.

i my experience the "voice" thought that is audiable is the result of
previous thoughts, in a kind of chain, or maybe a ladder

i have thoughts i would rather not have but don't consider them to be
voices, however these thoughts can lead to voices

i think the key to it is, losing control of one's mind, which happens in all
states of mental distress
