Hmm... Plenty of very intelligent people are very happy - the ones who
have got a place in the world and something to keep them busy. Look at
the Dalai Lama, for example - very bright chap, but he's a cheery old
sort, isn't he? (Of course many things make him unhappy - but he keeps
cheerful most of the time. You just have to look at the shape of the
wrinkles on his face).

A combination of intelligence and being imprisoned (which is how I view
my state) so you can't *do* anything - that's the killer. Only a moron
can vegetate without losing his mind.
