But what kinda surprised me was the way they were all so openly talking
about getting cocaine for this evening like it was as innocuous as a tin of
tomatoes. I'm not a prude or anything, but I remember not that long ago
when even a wee bit of hash was "hush hush" top secret. Things've changed
just a bit. I'm going to go along tonight just to see what effect this
stuff has on people, I heard it only lasts about 20 minutes and costs about
£40 for a gram, which makes about 6 lines. So that works out not far shy of
£20 an hour. For not much more than £20 I can get plastered for about 8
hours on half decent beer, or less than a tenner on cheap white cider. I
don't think this cocaine stuff can be THAT good that it's worth £20 an hour.
I think they are just paying for the name, like Gucci or Prada or Dolce and
Gabbana or Reeboks. Silly bastards.

Not to mention that people with no noses do not look 'cool' and are
probably not 'having a good time'. That's without the intriguing
possibilities concerning what it /really/ might be that they are shoving
up their air-tubes. At least you can be fairly confident about what
you're ingesting if it comes in a tin or bottle from the offy.
