We have had all this crap recently from our landlord about the new lease, so
as I'm having a bad time of it, I asked Paul to sort it (it's his flat too,
so why shouldn't he do things to do with it?) So he phoned the landlord to
tell him that we couldn't go in to sign the lease, because of him working,
so we were going to sign it and send it in. But we wanted things done
before we signed and were going to write a letter together, but as usual i
wrote it on me own. I've had the bloody landlord leaving me messages on my
mobile about it, only because Paul hasn't given him his new mobile. Paul has
also decided that we're signing a years lease instead of six months, so that
needs to be changed. Then he tells me he hasn't got time to do anything, he
didn't start work until midday today, so he could've easily gone into town
first to sort it, but as usual he leaves it to me. That is how this all
started. I was diagnosed with depression in the summer after we moved in
here. Paul left so much of the arrangements to me, because he was too busy
at work(!), while at the time i was sooo incredibly busy at work and was
doing soo much overtime, not out of choice but because we were given a tight
deadline that need to be reached. so i ended up doing too much burnt out and
made myself ill. Over the last couple of weeks, I've started to feel bad
again and I've asked for help from him and he's still not prepared to do
stuff. I sent him a arsey e-mail and now he's being childish and saying he's
moving out. He's 26, shouldn't he have grown up by now???? Maybe it's for
the best if he does, I'm not strong enough to put up with a grown man who
does not want to have any responsibility!!
I'm sorry about the mad rant and well done if you've read it and it makes
sense!!

Yeah, I read it Katie and it all makes sense.
I'm afraid a lot a males aged 26 without kids tend to be childish and
hate responsibility. It must be genetic or something. You have my
sympathies in that department. If he is unwilling to help, that is not
going to help you with the way you are feeling; and is probably making
it worse.
I can't really offer any advice. You really need to sit down together
and talk things through if you are going to get anything resolved.
Easier said than done I know.
