After my trip to sainsbury's yesterday when my card got declined, I decided
to get in touch with the Job Centre to find out how many claim was going. I
was told that I wouldn't be getting anything because I hadn't made enough
national insurance contributions, even though I have been working for the
last 2 and a half years. I can't get the other sort of JSA as my boyfriend
is working, it doesn't matter that what he earns doesn't cover all our
outgoings. After that phone call, I phoned round all the agencies I'm
registered with, to be told that they don't have much in at the moment (but
will give me a call as soon as they do!!) I then went downstairs to get the
post, all we had was a letter from a local estate agency saying that our
lease is now with them, they want £60 from us for the new lease and the
rent's going up by £15. All this before half ten!!

Feeling really low and I don't know what to do. I have bills to pay, no job
and even though I've been applying for loads and had interviews, I can't get
myself a new job! My boyfriend keeps saying he's going to sell his
playstation, but I really don't want him to. It's my fault that we're in
this situation, so why should he have to sell his things.

I don't think I ever been this low. I really don't know what to do.

I had the 'not enough NI contributions' problem, but I have qualified for Income Support. Eventually. The Citizens Advice Bureau were very helpful, you could try them.

To do all those phone calls would be a HUGE effort for me, so well done.

Best wishes.
