If it was good for us, then we wouldn't be attracted to it in the first
place. Or is is that only bad things are addictive?

Nah. I just think we get addicted to certain things (it doesn't have to
be a substance) because they temporarily make us feel good, then keep
using them to keep the *high*. But the catch is when we stop using them
we feel even worse than before, so we get stuck in the cycle. The only
real way to break the cycle is to address the reasons why we felt we
needed the continuous *high* in the first place i.e.the problems that
made us feel like crap.

Well, that all sounded pretty obvious didn't it??
