Hello there,

Hi, and welcome. You sound very like me at that age, and 25 years later life's not much better, and depression has completely taken over. I'd definitely advise getting some help: if you just look on the internet, there's so much information you can get confused and unsure about what may be the problem, if anything. There should be some sort of counseling available at the university, I know there was when I was at uni, and I wish I'd taken advantage of it, I'm sure it would have helped make my life a lot happier.
It's good that you're keeping on good terms with your ex, well done for that, and for trying to move on.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on. And if you get any useful suggestions, please pass them on!
Dawn .
