Recording onto DVD + discs is the cheapest and simplest solution?

That was my first thought but perhaps Wally's DVD recorder doesn't do
'+R'

Crect, can only write to - when I try a + it just sends a message,
" cannot record or play disc"
Also my PC will only record on - so I need a player that will
playback that type of disc.
Does anybody know of a player that will do this ??

I solved a similar problem by replacing a brand name DVD recorder with a
cheap ASDA one which will play anything flung at it. Don't know if they do
the same model now, mine is Cyberhome, but if they have the same electrical
returns policy it's worth a try.

Following the advice of a studio manager I recently purchased from Amazon a Sumvision Phoenix Premium Multi Region DVD Player HDMI 1080p USB Port DivX 6

I'd never heard of Sumvision but their DVD player is tiny -- just the job for my bedside shelf and was reasonably priced at GBP45.99. It has proved to be an exceptionally good DVD/CD player. It can play just about any CD and even has a USB and a SD card port. Fastest load of DVDs I've ever come across. All the usual WMA, AVI, JPEG, MPEG MP3 formats play and the SD reader plays anything.

Despite it's size it packs in a Scart socket, USB socket. The size means that the SD card reader slot is at the front as is the HDMI socket and USB socket although the usual phono and 5-1 audio slots are at the back.

The sale of multi-region DVD players is rather naughty of Amazon so it'll probably be withdrawn.
