Anyone else watching?

Anyone read "The Day of the Triffids" ? ;-)

Funny you should say that, but decent quality tapes of David Maloney's BBC production of 'Triffids' have just come to light with the previously lost opening scenes of the stellar displays intact. Just the thing for trickle down repeats on UK Gold.

When David Maloney had finished with Blake's 7 he turned his
attention to proper productions of John Beynon's works because he felt that Beynon had been badly treated by film and TV. I'm sure any aficionado of Beynon's work who have endured the abortion Triffid movie starring a miscast Howard Keel, or the George Saunders movie of the 'Midwich Cuckoos' would agree.

The Stephen Thorne production on BBC Radio 7 of The Krakon Wakes is well-worth catching.
