Is that 270.13.19/2245 ? And I got a program update to 8.5.392, have I
caught up ?
Yes and yes. Sowwy about the title I was a bit sidetracked at the time. BT
Wholesalet are bu**ering around with my BB connection again. After 2
years of consistently being connected at speeds well in excess of 6500 kbps
(the last 7 months at 7616 kbps) it suddenly fell on Wednesday - in the
same time slot as a PN traffic management upgrade - to around 5000 kbps. I
still can only connect at 5024 kbps even though my download SNR is a steady
6 dB and there seem to be virtually no errors on the line. BT have tested
it all and tell PN that it must be a contention problem and there is nothing
that can be done. Funny how contention crops up after all the extra
capacity that has recently been installed and after I have had such good
speeds for such a long period. Also I thought that contention was only
apparent when there was lots of traffic and not 24/7, actual d/l speeds
being affected at those times and not actual connection speeds. Someone is
telling big porkies I guess.
