Sorry, this might be a bit too techie.

It appears I was mis-diagnosed in Nov 2007 when I was told I had PMR.
Well, I don't have it, and I've seen the proof. They've compared my MRI
scans back to the ones taken on 16/12/06 and there are severe and
degenerative spinal changes to L3/4, also slightly less changes to L1/2
and also L4/5. So a re-diagnosis of spinal stenosis and from what I've
seen online this evening my "flare-ups" could be caused by "Lumbar
Vertebral Disc Herniations". They say I might need cordal epidural
injections by my Ortho too.
I'm not sure which diagnosis is the worst so I shall be investigating and
asking questions of the medics over the next few weeks as it will probably
affect my travel insurance for Canada. I need to know what causes the
sudden attacks of back pain, but in my heart of hearts it could be that I
need to be a bit kinder to myself and not go dashing around quite as much.

Steroids back down to 5mg from tomorrow and I'm seeing my GP at lunchtime.
In the meantime, I'm comparatively free of pain, and that has to be a vast
improvement on last Friday lol

Ta lots of messages, texts etc - you're a lovely lot

You're right, it was technical and I can't say which diagnosis is worst.
Hope it turns out well and doesn't affect your journey to Canada.
