That's true.

Except that there are two possible ways that an application could pass a
document to a printer driver (I think).

Way 1: The application says "Here is a document. Print it as you think
best." In which case the printer driver may ask the user it hey want the
whole document or just a selection.

Way 2: The applications says "Print this as I've laid it out". In which
case the printer driver just passes it on to the printer. The application
may just pass a selection over.

Or I could be completely wrong. The last time I looked seriously at
printer drivers was about 1994, for an Atari ST.


Could be that we have different versions of OE and something has
changed in the version Splodge and I have
