The patch is available for download

So I went and got it from Windows Update.
It duly downloaded and installed but needed a reboot.
So I let it reboot.
Next thing I get one of those grey screens with a red circle with a white
cross on - you know the one - an error!

"Isass.exe-System Error.

An I/O operation initiated by the Registry failed unrecoverably.
The Registry could not read in, or write out, or flush, one of the files
that contain the system's image of the Registry."

So, now what do I do? Try getting and installing it again? Or just leave it
alone?
Help!!
