BBC News has just announced the death of Lieutenant Ted Briggs R.N.
(ret'd)
at the age of 85. Ted was one of only 3 survivors of the sinking of HMS
Hood by the Bismark.
Ted was my boss when I worked at Whitehall Wireless (Admiralty) in the
early 1960s. It was an honour to serve with him.
May he find safe anchorage.

I can't find anything about his death on the news pages at the moment but
