Not 'quite' up to Letter from America' standards, but this is Boo, not
Alistair Cook, so you get second class mail <g>
<snip of some lovely news>
My trouble here is I read right through the thread instead of stopping when
I read about Strathcona because now I can't find where it was mentioned :-(

It's 56 yrs since I started the senior school and found I had been put in a
house I had never heard the name of before.
Argos, Quest and Challenger, the other three houses, were, I knew, sailing
boats of old but Strathcona, the one I was put in, I'd never heard of.
Eventually, after hours at the local library I seem to remember I found it
was the name of Wilfred Grenfell's ship - you know, him who went up more
norfs than Upslanders do and explored.

In all those 56 years I have never heard anyone refer to Strathcona except
at school - and even they forgot to tell us what it was! I take it that it,
too, was named after the ship. I didn't know Canada had a town called
Strathcona and was pretty chuffed to find it mentioned today :-))

I've waited 56 years to hear a reference to it, Boo, so I reckon you've just
made my day ;-)

So pleased everything is going well for you both.
And I hope not sorting people's accounts for them isn't making you miserable
because it's a lovely opportunity to get out and see things on your own - a
somewhat new experience for you but a great one, too:-)

Keep on enjoying yourself :-)
