Boo, causing international havoc again!

Why, oh why is my life never simple? LOL
Okay, I priced sheeps ( memoryfor my shiny new iMac) and ordered from
Crucial.
Cos I am in Canada, the site tells me to use the US site. Off I go and place
the order , for delivery to Canada and a billing address for the UK cos I am
using my Uk credit card, I used the Verification by Visa thing when I put in
the card details and its showing as a 'pending transaction' on my card
account ( I check these things!) so its 'good to go' when they take payment.
That was on 9th April. I got a confirmation email saying they have accepted
my order and will take payment when they ship it and also send me a
confirmation mail to say its on its way.
tickettyboo! - or so I thought.
No email arrived, I tried to use the track your order online thing and it
kept saying to check back.
I check back at regular intervals, still no joy.
So today I use the chat online to a customer representative facility. Got
Tyler, give him my order number and he rather abruptly tells me 'That order
was cancelled because you used the wrong site' Errrmmm - I need it
delivered to Canada and used the site I was told to and if you have
cancelled an order wouldn't it be useful if you informed the customer? Tyler
tells me they mailed me on 8th April to say the order has been cancelled.
That's damn good going cos that is the day 'before' I placed the order LOL.
Tyler says I have to use the UK site and then they will ship it to Canada.
Seems a bit daft to me, but off I go and start the order on the uk site.
Scanned my system again to ensure I order the right stuff, go to put in the
shipping address and there is a huge list of countries to choose from -
Canada is not on it, so that puts the kibosh on that plan!
By now I am getting a tad fed up with this :-)
Phone Crucial in the UK, got a nice young man called Adam. He says I can't
order from UK to be delivered to Canada, I need to use the US site.
Back to where I started! LOL this is getting to be like GroundHog Day !
I now phone the US customer service, get a nice young lady called Christine,
do the long explanation and she tells me that the email address I used is
for a UK account. As I have ordered form Crucial before ( in the UK) they
have my account set in stone, I am not allowed to move around, rofl I have
to stay put or it messes up their nice neat records.
Oh! if someone had mentioned that was the problem I wouldn't have had to
spend all blooming morning faffing about with this ( Christine seems puzzled
over the term 'faffing' LOL) Crucial can't sort this for me, cos their
system doesn't allow for that. I now have to go and start all over again on
the US site using a different email address to set up a new account and
placethe order again.
Have done that, and live in hope that this one will go through and I will
get my sheeps. Though I will then have to navigate through the minefield of
paying the tax to the shipping company or they wont let me have the goods.
Oh and to top it all, after our fantastic weather at the weekend, its
snowing here today LOL, at least life aint boring :-)
