You got it right. I got new blinds last week and the brackets *exactly* fitted the holes made by the old ones so I went out to get more of the same for the bedrooms and kitchen. Unfortunately they had none of the same brand and it's a discontinued line so there will be no more. I'm very lucky like that :-( Oh well now I know I can get them I'll make a template of the brackets and look elsewhere.

If you know the makers it's quite possible other stores/shops still have some in stock.
