We have had no progress at all over the weekend. I don't mean with Jim's
communications but his health. Since his stomach infection Jim has been
very weak, so much so he just can't do anything but sleep, he wakes very
occasionally and when he does manages a smile and answers a few questions
then drifts back to sleep again. He is on a drip feed atm but I feel he
needs more, and poor Gordon just thinks he will drift away from us. I try
to tell him that whilst Jim is sleeping he is (could be) healing but I am
not sure I believe that myself. The Doctor requested we attend this
afternoon at 1.00 to discuss "options" but the nurse says they must take
Jims age and his brain damage into consideration !!!!!
I cannot go this afternoon so poor Gordon must attend alone. My head is
not here at all but I will get there after work
Thanks again for all your kind thoughts and prayers
So sorry to read this Jen. I wonder whether they will suggest stopping all
his medications, so can just drift away. He is still responsive and
communicating so there is still hope for him. I can't remember reading a
post about how severe his brain damage is, sorry if I missed that.
Thinking of you all
