Problems from aneurisms

Thought there might be someone who's interested in this bit of info ;-))
For the past 5 years since the sub-arachnoid haemo-whatsit many things that
are normal to everyone have been non-existant to me. Either that or tried to
behave normally but not quite managed it :-)
First of all sneezing. Well, that's getting better. I remember once yelling,
"I sneezed properly!" but I went back to doing it wrong, it's a good thing I
don't often have the need to sneeze! Today I have quite a tender patch each
side of my mouth, just about as far back as the tip of my tongue can reach.
That was caused by a sneeze yesterday. Instead of the silly muscles making
the main bit of the sneeze at the top of my nose it missed and centred it on
my throat at mouth level.
See what I mean by not quite managed it?
Then there's hiccups. ROFL, they really *are* hics rather than hiccups, they
start off but finish half way through. If I can remember what a hiccup
should do, why can't my silly brain? Well, it did manage to do one properly
yesterday, scared the life out of me :-)
Then there's a burp. Now everyone must have had at least one occasion when a
burp has happened with no help from themselves. I have, too, in the past few
years. Unfortunately my brain's idea of a burp is to try to do a hiccup and
behave like it usually does for a hiccup. Absolutely no good for either
hiccup or burp :-)) Except for one time (you're getting the idea here,
aren't you?) yesterday when I gave one almighty correctly performed burp!
Thank goodness I was at home when it happened!
So, after the info: comes the thought - the sneeze, the hiccup, the burp are
suddenly practicing performance. Is this because the brain has suddenly
decided it's time it learned how to do them? I hope so, cos you don't
realise how essential they are till you've lost the ability to perform them!
If this is so, maybe the brain will start learning how to cough soon cos it
really hasn't a clue as yet!
