We bought a jar of this years 'special edition', champagne marmite yesterday.

I tried it today on a couple of slices of brown bread toast - it was lovely :-)

It has a slightly sweet taste when it first hits the taste buds, but then the yeasty flavour comes through. Not bad IMHO and only a few pence more than the normal marmite.

We missed out on last years Guinness marmite, but we've seen it on e-bay, so will order a jar!

I bet it wasn't the silver-top version. ;-)
