That's when I learned the 'portant thing about road safety.

I stood at the side of the road, warm and cosy despite the snow and wind
cos I had my new posh down filled coat on with the hood keeping my head
and ears warm. I waited till the lights said I could cross and then turned
my head to look to see if any cars had started to turn.
I got a great view of ... the inside of the hood of my coat LOL !

Hee hee. Of course, you not being a cyclist, I don't suppose you will have
encountered that phenomenon before. I learned very early on that when
cycling it is almost impossible to look to the traffic when wearing a hood.
