There is a file called nfilter.dat that is edited from within the program. It's a text file that lists the conditions you want to filter. There are various options that can be set.
You can add what they call a "flag" to subject or sender. You set the "flag" to whatever you want and the conditions in which it's added.
Alternatively you can "drop" the post depending on condition you set. This means you don't even see it in your newsreader.
For a start it's recommended you "flag" first until you see how it performs. If all is OK then change to "drop".
Methinks a little more help is required please wysiwyg.
I am running it 'cos I use OE as a backup and haven't got any filter
set in that.
So far nothing has been blocked and I've had it running since
yesterday.
NewsProxy just says:-
Active tasks : 1
1 - Active. Listening to port 119.
BTW, I've read the FAQ and set the prog up as suggested.

That is OK so far.
